Timothy William Brown, a wheelchair-bound parolee with a long criminal history, guilty of raping and murdering Virginia Correa, an electronics technician and mother of two, who was last seen Jan. 15, 1979. Her body was later found dumped along Sierra Road by a passing motorist.Decades passed with no arrests. But two years ago, DNA evidence linked a semen stain found on Correa's clothing to Brown At the time, Brown was in Corcoran State Prison for an unrelated parole violation. To this day, authorities don't know the connection between Brown and Correa.Brown will be sentenced on Oct. 31 to life without the possibility of parole, according to prosecutor Javier Alcala.
